Z's Story

“What inspires me is something like the wake of a wave.

Zivko (Z) came to New York from Croatia in 1971 to pursue a better life. In four short years, he developed a passion for the jewelry industry. Since 1975, Z has designed thousands of pieces of unique jewelry for large companies and individuals alike.

Most rings and other jewelry Z has designed and manufactured were each made for a single person. Each customer is Z’s inspiration, and he dreams up his most creative ideas when he is alone with nature, walking on the beach or fishing on his boat.

As an award-winning jewelry designer with decades of recognized success, Z decided he wanted to create an online store where the public would be able to customize and purchase rings and other pieces designed by him. That decision would eventually become Z Kaptive Jewels.
